5 Here are the pertinent parts of the operation manual for the Casio HR-8B. The calculation examples are omitted. Hand-written personal notes included. This is the best scan I could get. I found this manual. Casio Calculator.pdf

0 1-Take off plastic cover; 2-Thread paper down thru top of plastic cover; 3-Locate place to feed the paper thru by seeing metal bar on bottom and black plastic divider; 4-Load paper between metal bar and black plastic divider (very narrow); 5- Press and hold "feed" button until paper comes up; 6. When paper is up, feed back up thru plastic cover & snap cover into place. You should be operational. I have more pictures if you are still having trouble.

0 I made a mistake on the previous instructions for loading the paper. There is actually a slot for the paper to go thru on the back and bottom of the calculator. The Casio Calculator.pdf upload has better instructions than this one.
