The ManualsOnline team has found the manual for this product! We hope it helps solve your problem. Get the Manual Here
4 jonogib1, The washers are made from SAE Grade 50 Pressed Felt Sizes are 19mm OD x 12mm ID x 1.6mm Thk (3/4" OD x 15/32" ID x 1/16" Thk) There are felt suppliers on line. You could obtain small sample pieces from them to cut out your own. Sears supposedly still sells them but they are ridiculously expensive. Don't try to use regular felt because it does not hold up with exposure to oil. The SAE Felt is made for that purpose to hold oil and keep the bearing shaft lubricated. OldDad27

3 Just found and restored the original Sears-Craftsman Manual for their 315.22420 3" x 21" Belt Sander, 1971 Vintage. Hope everyone benefits like I did. I found this manual. 315.22420.pdf

2 Thanks, OldDad27! That's exactly what I needed. Do you have any tips for getting the belt adjusted properly?

0 I really need a schematic of this Sears 315.22420 belt sander. It has been two years since I disassembled the sander, and I didn't take pictures assuming I could readily get parts. If someone could e-mail me a schematic at: jonogib1@att.net it would be immensely appreciated. I really dont want to throw this beauty away. I have found custom machined bushings, but still need fiber washers (phenolic?). Thank-you!!
