Broadcast not intelligible when it comes on; just ...

Broadcast not intelligible when it comes on; just static. Going off frequently; weather in area stable.Plugged into AC current. All selections in proper place: Alert, Dynamo, best channel. Has probably been 2-3 weeks since weekly practice broadcast, but I hadn't noticed until now.
