0 Common problem with this unit when it is dead is the D5 Diode on the output of the Transformer TR1. It is a small black diode between the transformer and the capacitor C1. The diode goes short circuit and the airconr does not come on at all. The Fuse does not blow as the diode is not on the mains side of the transformer. I replace the diode with a 1N5408 and the unit runs no problem.
