Heat switch does not work

5 I have the twinstar 23E05 Model. Everything works and lights up but it only blows hot for just about a minute then cool air. I'm guessing the thermostat is bad? Any suggestions ?

3 Hi i'm the one you sent you the link for the manual for your fireplace I contacted the company direct and told them the problem with mine and they are sending me a new switch for mine at no charge here is their company website you might want to give it a try

3 I have replaced both heat switch and main power switch. Still not getting power to heat switch to turn on heat element.. checked thermostat, seems okay, not alot to go wrong with this, or maybe I'm missing something, need help wife is wanting it fixed. thanks for any help

3 company sent me new switch also... it fried whithin seconds... sounds like whole unit is a lemon. go to electricfireplacesdirect.com to get yourself a replacement insert. switch is definately a fire hazard.

3 I have the same problem with my fireplace 33E05 I have changed the heat switch in the past and now I had to change it again but the switch keeps burning out. Would anyone know why it burns out

3 Thanks this info will help me relpace my switch that also went out. This must be a problem with this model . I thought I was stuck with a USELESS ELECTRIC FIREPLACE. ,but now I have hope it can be fix. THANKS.

3 There is a thermal protection cutout switch (on the top of the heater box, which you can see through the grille). When this trips the fan continues to run, but the unit blows cold air only as the heater circuit has been disabled. You can get it to 'reset' by switching the unit off and waiting for about a minute for the bimetal cutout to close again. Note that this is NOT the adjustable thermostat heat control on the front panel. It is a protection against overheating.

3 my spinners are noisey. heater works but when thurmastat shuts it off the blower will run endlessy? looking to purchase new insert?

0 Add me to the list of those with model 23E05 heat switch troubles. Still trying to find a replacement. Have tried phoning them, but no luck - all I can reach is an automated answering machine. Thanks for the manual - hopefully that will help.
