How can I get the 3 pieces that hold the drill bit...

How can I get the 3 pieces that hold the drill bit unstuck? I have tried for quite some time. They are stuck in the fully open setting. I was using the drill and went to change bits. When I grabbed the chuck to loosen the bit apparently it opened to far and got stuck. Thanks for any suggestions.
