Question About Skil 7384
replacement of backing pad...

I need to remove and replace hook-and-loop backing pad. No longer holds sanding sheets in place. Is that screw left or right hand thread? Is it held in place with some type of thread locker? How do I keep shaft from turning while loosening screw? Thanx
