I bought a Smith Corona model SD650 in god condition. Types well but the lift off correction tape (new) # 11820 once inserted properly, keep pushing up and shoves the ink tape out, so it does not work. I tried buying a second lift off correction tape and same thing. I then purchased another used Smith Corona type writer a SL470 using exact same correctible and lift off tapes and the same thing is happening. Why? Doesn't make sense.
