0 We had this problem, and it seems to be moisture in the zero-set contacts near the bottom. Remove the top rubber "mat" by peeling it off, and then remove the 4 screws. The top cover then lifts off. I used a hot hair dryer on all the wires for a few minutes but especially on the two circular zero-set circular contacts on both sides at the bottom, where you press lightly before weighing yourself. Reassemble in the reverse order. The rubber mat still has enough adhesive on it to stick again. This fixed the problem, at least for now.
