Condensate in inducer fan motor housing...

Condensate builds up in inducer fan motor housing.Inducer rotated for left side venting, gutter & hose is clean. Can hear water in housing, I removed the housing, drain water out, unit will then run. Question: why is condensate water draining into inducer fan motor housing
