my remote isn't responding correctly. I have put in new batterries and re-bootedthe tv twice(Visio) have to be close to the TV to turn it on or off and use the mute button. It changes channels properly but not volume unless I go right up to the set.

0 the problem is there are more then 1 code. some times you will have to go through 3 or 4 codes to find the 1 that works all of the functions.
