Daughter put dawn dishwashing liquid in rinse agent receptacle. I gess she has been doong this for several refills.

5 Suck it out with a turkey baster. Run the dishwasher empty without the rinse cap on. I would take this time to go buy a dishwasher cleaner. They sell them in the cleaning aisle. This should take care of your problem. Suds may come out of your dishwasher.
