my new Rotak 370 is very reluctant to start I wait...

my new Rotak 370 is very reluctant to start I wait a couple of minutes then press and hold the central switch button ,then grip and hold the red button on the hand grip but nothing happens.After many attempts it springs into life and runs well. Any comments please
