Question About Craftsman 917-251572
stopped pulling...

I was told to add fluid through the vent tube but get air bubbles in tube and can't fill it / what else can be done? Power belt is working, shifter is working / it sounds like a power steering pump that is out of fluid

0 I had a similar problem with my 20 HP Craftsman tractor. First, if your transaxle has (or had) a fan above the transaxle be sure it not broken or missing. overheating. My tractor has a small fill hole in top of transaxle. fill it wirh 30 weight oil. That works for me. My tractor has a lever in back to put the transaxle out of gear so you can push it. Make sure that this lever is in. dpartain2442@charter.net
