Is it safe to use this flash gun on a Nikon D 40 X

3 All the information i can find suggests you DO NOT USE this flash with your D40x. It looks like the trigger voltage is far too high to use this in the camera's hotshoe, and the D40x doesn't have a Sync Socket.

0 Thanks, spot on, I had a feeling that that might be the case. Guess it's a wireless / IR trigger from the built in flash. KenP
