I recently had to change the upper element of the oven. The replacement part had different terminals so I had to change the terminals and in the process had to cut the wires. After replacing the terminals the lower element that was working before the change is suddenly not working. I suspect a problem with the wiring between the lower & upper elements

5 If the terminals are different it could very well be that the wires are different or there was a change in the ground wire. If the terminals have a diff color spectrum for the wires than you have to figure out which wires are hot and which one is your ground and try to rematch them to whatever the terminal description is. But your issue sounds like a ground issue and you will have to reevaluate your wiring all around as well as check your breakers, if it's a grounding issue and your stove is on it's own breaker like it should be it tripped the breaker so you will have to restore power that way. Hope this helps!
