Hi have the manual - it doesn't address changing the light bulb. .. how do you do it?

1 As always, unplug the unit and follow the instructions on the inside cover before servicing. Remove the outer cover, the lamp is located on the control side near the top. to remove it, unplug the 2 wire connectors, press in the clips and pull the lamp out. The part is discontinued, but you should be able to find a substitute at your local appliance dealer. I wanna say it's a 2Amp - 120W bulb, but you may want to check the one you remove to be sure.

0 what instructions on the inside cover, there are none that i can see on the nside cover of my MW1161SB microwave. What outer cover do you mean, the entire outer shell of the whole microwave? Seriously? Thanks for trying to help but Definately wont be buying another Emerson it is absurd to go to such lengths to replace a light bulb and not even address how to do it at the manufacturers website.
