suddenly the picture went off and there is sound.the panel is lighyed but it ie blank

0 tv taking ages to go on , has to be left on stand by for ages then put on again , when eventually goes on the screen is blue then has coloured lines all over , after twenty mins it finally settles and picture is perfect , anyone any ideas on whats causing this problem ? wld be very much appreciated .
