we have a smart-stat II for my heat-n-glo IPI remo...

we have a smart-stat II for my heat-n-glo IPI remote control fireplace. After the fire has been running for a hour or so the receiver beeps approx. 8 or more beeps and shuts down on its own, then continuously beeps every 5 seconds or so until we have had to reset the Learn button on the receiver. How do we fix this so its stops?
