0 I have been researching the same thing for these Delta systems hour meters that are being put on the lawn tractors and Garden tractors alike. The owners manual states on page 18 of Model no. 91728861# (# meaning the last number of your particular model no. For example my model # is 917288613, but my manual doesn't include the 3 on the end.
Anyways it states that this is how you reset the hour meter.

SERVICE REMINDER/HOUR METER
Service reminder shows the total number of
hours the engine has run and indicates when
the engine or mower needs servicing. After
every 50 hours of operation the oil can icon
will stay on for 2 hours or until a manual reset
occurs. To reset the display manually turn
the ignition switch to the on position, then
the off position five times (1 second on, 1
second off). To service engine and mower,
see the Maintenance section of this manual.
Note: Service reminder runs when the
ignition key is in any position but "STOP".
For accurate reading, be sure key remains
in the "STOP" position when engine is not
running.

I have tried doing this with no such luck. I've even tried putting a jumper across the two posts on it and trying to short it out with a 9V battery (the meter is rated to operate at voltages of 9-16 vdc) I tried all sorts of things like that and even putting a propane torch to the underside of it while shorting it out and it was still ticking away the hours. Yes I was doing all this inside a very thick clear container that would've handled the battery explosion if one was to occur.
Long story short if anyone has tried doing anything that actually works please post your answer it would be greatly appreciated.
Btw I wouldn't blame Craftsman, Husqvarna, or which ever other company is using this meter. Delata systems website itself says that this meter is reset capable. I have found in my experiments that it is not reset capable much less capable of being destroyed.
