Hi, I just bought a new bulb for this projector..w...

Hi, I just bought a new bulb for this projector..which hasnt' been used in about 20 years and it blew moments after I put it in. Any idea why? The bulb was clean. Also do you know if this is a rentable projector anywhere or is there now an updated way to play these old films?
