5 After you install the batteries, leave the La Crosse Technology clock undisturbed for 15 minutes while the alarm searches for the time signal from the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Fort Collins, Colo. When the clock has received the signal, the time and date will set automatically. Your clock will receive regularly scheduled updates each day. If the updates are interrupted, you may occasionally have to set the time on your clock manually. To set the time manually, press the set button and then use the + (plus) and - (minus) buttons to increase and decrease number values until the desired time is reached.
