5 First, determine how your VCR is attached to your tv. --component (red green blue red white) -- composite ( red white yellow) -- coaxial ( regular cable company cable) Second, determine by which cable is being used which input on the back of the tv you will be using. -- component and composite will us the same inputs. (A/v, input #, or video#) Then plug in power, put in your movie, and turn your tv to the input you designated. If you are using the coax, then you must turn it on to a particular channel to see the movie. It will be either channel 3 or 4. Most VCR and DVD players have an auto play function so as soon as you put in the VHS or DVD it will automatically start
