Evaporator coil keeps freezing ,have replaced strap on temp. sensor but unit still freezes.

5 The evaporator coil is supposed to frost up. If it is frosting over and not defrosting, it is most likely your defrost heater. Since you said temp sensor, that means you have an electronic control versus a defrost timer. If the ECU is bad, it usually won't kick the compressor on at all. So your problem is almost certainly the defrost heater. If you could replace the sensor, the heater shouldn't be a difficult task. It is usually located at the bottom of the coils.
