We got the new Genie receiver. We found out it was...

We got the new Genie receiver. We found out it was not recording programs over night due to the Power green surge shutting down over night. We did not have any problems with the old Directv receiver. Every time we shut off the TV and turn it back on it reboots and therefore, does not record. Any suggestions for surge protector?
