5 Hey Eye This, I have a story to tell you about installing a wick. I have two Dyna-Glow RMC 95-C?s too. I had one that was sitting out in our shed for about 18 months and I got it out yesterday and cleaned it up real good and disassembled it. Then went out and bought a new wick for it. The wick adjuster knob wouldn't even turn, because it had built up rust inside over time and seized up. It was never left out in the rain, but I'm assuming that you have to completely empty out the old kerosene for storage and keep the thing in a climate controlled space. I worked on that thing for 2 hours trying to get the new wick in it. I don't think they could have possibly made it any harder to remove and replace the wick in those Dyna-Glows. They have these three metal pins with talons that have to be removed from the old wick I managed to get them out of the old wick and install them in the new wick but they're so fragile, that all the pins ended up breaking off of the talons when I was trying to put it back in. I can't believe how cheap those little pins are. They really do need a better system.

5 i have to agree with post above, i had a dyno-glo rmc95 and had it in garage in the summer . it did not get any rain on it but i left the kerosene in it from the past winter and i believe it drew moister in it and this winter i tried to use it and the wick adjuster would not move. its only about 2 years old so i took it apart to see if i could fix it myself .read the guys comment above and sure enough lifted the wick assembly out and the knob worked fine. put the new wick in it and its as good as new. im not sure if the old fuel or water swelled the wick up to where it was binding it up not allowing it to move.but i also believe you have to run it dry and keep it in a controlled enviroment in the offseason..the wicks also suck trying to change..good luck..

4 I had the same problem. Seems they dont tell you that when you are assembling the unit again, before you slide wick assembly back, raise the wick to its fullest height, then slide the asembly down. Once seated test the automatic shut off switch, and then try to raise and lower the wick. This should solve the stuck wick problem.

4 I'VE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH TWO OF THESE DYNA GLO HEATERS. I ALSO NOTICED THAT THE THREE PINS ON THE REPLACEMENT WICKS AREN'T IDENTICAL TO THE ORIGINAL. THE WICK THAT COMES IN THE HEATER NEW HAS A FLAT SURFACE BEHIND THE PINS KEEPING THEM FROM GIVING OR BENDING UNDER THE PRESSURE OF BEING RAISED UP. THIS IS WHAT I BELIEVE NEEDS TO BE FIXED ABOUT THE REPLACEMENT SYSTEM. SEEMS LIKE THERE SHOULD BE A SUPPLY OF ORIGINAL WICKS FOR US TO BUY

1 After replacing wick. Knob on heater would not raise or lower wick. How do I get a part to fix this problem.

1 If you would have read the directions,ittells you to put a clothes pin on the safety switch to hold it open on the reinstalland also to put wick in up position and hold onto knob when installing new wick. I've done 2 so far with no problems

0 I did the above and it still doesn't work properly. It won't raise with turning the knob.

0 fellas, let me start by saying i was in the same boat as all of u..bought a new wick, took out the old one and had the new installed in minutes only to have the knob sticking when trying to raise it..it took me about 15 minutes to see the problem..there's a "belly" area for the wick to be tucked into when replacing..only about a half inch of wick should stick out the bottom of the sleeve after you're done..not 3 or more..it works sort of like an accordian..
