5 Lay out the tent body and parts on a level site. Extend the poles and sort by size and style. Step 2 Slide the two shorter roof poles through the sleeves on the tent's roof. Insert the two roof poles into the hubs at the corners. The two poles form an "X" when finished. Step 3 Insert the steel leg poles into the same corner hubs as the roof poles. Then insert the opposite end of each pole into the base of the tent. Once all four poles are in place the tent's center room stands up. Step 4 Slide the two side room poles through the side pole sleeve. Secure the pole to the pin-rings. This pops-out the tent's side rooms. Attach the black plastic clips to the pole. Step 5 Insert the remaining poles into the rain fly's pole pockets on the underside of the rain fly. Secure the two poles by tying them to the rain fly where they cross. Step 6 Center the rain fly over the tent and secure each s-hook to the pin-rings. Increase the steadiness of the tent by wrapping the rain fly's Velcro strips around each pole. Step 7 Secure the tent by staking each corner and by tightening the guy lines and staking them. When staked correctly, the rain fly will be taut---when tapped on it will sound like a drum.
