The picture only comes on for about 2 seconds when...

The picture only comes on for about 2 seconds when the TV is first turned on. I can't even get the menu to show. The brief picture that appears looks to be excellent quality. The antenna I'm using works fine with other sets. Can you help please? Thanks, Leonie
