i keep getting a popping noise in my subwoofer don...

i keep getting a popping noise in my subwoofer dont know 3where its coming from, has to be connection from contol cable,tryed another sub same noise.anything else i could do please reply,maybe buy new cable,please advise what to do danny 106der@att.net mcd 703
