when i put the guide on the picture is in corner and when i exited the guide the picture was still small

0 I bought this TV about a week ago and now the color flickers in and out. For example, when it is a widescreen picture the black strips on the top and bottom flicker. Did anyone else find this problem? Who should I call to find a solution to this or is there no solution? HELP!
