I have a #411018 . The fan icon runs constant.,but...

I have a #411018 . The fan icon runs constant.,but the heat/furnace doesn't operate. I then turn to the off position,then to the on position and the heat/furnace is then activated. Once activated it doesn't shut off until I lower the temperature significantly. Then the process starts all over again. What to do?
