5 Do you have the bobbin post engaged? If your sewing machine is the one in the picture it looks as if you wind the thread around the post (of sorts) on the right, direct the thread back towards the bobbin post, load the bobbin on the bobbin post, push the post to the right to engage it, and press your foot on the presser foot to make the machine go.
