5 The Skil Jig saw 4380 3.7 amp accepts both T and U shank blades. Then you need to look at what material you are going to be cutting (i.e. wood, plastic, metal, etc.) and how thick your material is. Most packages of blades will tell you what that particular blade is suited for. - Hope this helps
