It leaves a residue/fluff on the cloths. We don't think we using excess soap?

0 I've read that the new machines sometimes arrive with a very fine oily protective coat that must be scrubbed first. I'm guessing that you have a new machine and you tossed in some clothes without doing this first. You only have to do this once. The film is to protect the stainless steel drum in shipping.
