0 Thank you for your post, dboisvert43! I understand that the oven will not close on your Tappan range. It sounds like your door latch or door strike could be faulty and not allowing your oven to make a proper connection. I would suggest performing a reset on your range and you can do it by flipping the household circuit breaker off for roughly ten minutes. If this does not help resolve your issue I would suggest consulting with a professional for a proper repair to be completed. This will help you avoid any unnecessary part purchases. –OOS
