detergent door not opening , e.g finish power ball stay inside intact, not melted, small holding door not opening automatically during cycle

5 I've had a similar issue in my dishwasher in he past. Make sure that there is nothing blocking the detergent door from opening. In my situation we had always arranged the dishes in a certain way then the cutting board would be on the outside of the dishwasher tray, this became a usual distribution. Because the cutting board is huge it would block the detergent door from opening. Simply changing it's position helped and detergent door always opens now. Alternatively, since you had your dishwasher running once, everything is already rinsed, so you can just put your detergent ball in the silverware tray and run it again. Works just as well
