gas was left in blower for 5 months now blower won't start suggestions?

5 This is how I would start my motor. First drain the gas , it probably isnt the problem but better safe than sorry. Next I would take off the bell from the carburetor and check for sediment. Dollars to doughnuts there is some. Take the bolt out and make sure that the small holes in it are clear ( a bread wire tie works well to poke out the crap) you could spray carb cleaner and spray it though the bottom tube but I prefer wd40 its less toxic. Next fill with gas and try to start. If still nothing pull the spark plug and while its touching metal pull the cord and look for spark. If there isnt any close the gap and try again . If still nothing replace spark plug. If still nothing you need to check the points and magneto. Or do what I would do, Swear grab some eather (starter fluid) pull the starter cord. when it starts hold your thumb over the carb increasing suction and clearing the sediment and water out of the carburetor.
