5 I work with tvs for a living. First if its your cable box or satellite then its in your video settings on your cable box and set it to stretched so it fits your screen from pillar box format. Now if its your tv it would be in settings menu too. Go to video options and repeat the process and set it to stretched screen format since you have a tv with widescreen format 16x9 and not the old school fullscreen 4x3 screen. And good choice on tvs the M series vizio is a fantastic tv at 1080p and 240hz! Makes it a very fast tv!
