5 There are no re-set buttons on dishwasher motors. Try turning the breaker on and off a few times, to make sure breaker in closed for power. Older breakers can sometimes loose the electrical contact inside the breaker. Flipping it off and on a few times, sometimes helps. But the main thing is to make sure you are getting power to the wires connected under and behind the kick plate. If you've got power to, but nothing, either the motor is gone, or the timer itself, needs to be replaced. Also, inside of the door panel, interlocked with the timer switch are micro switches that will signal that the dishwasher door is closed and locked. If they don't engage, the timer will not come on. If you have power to the dishwasher, the next time you shut the dishwasher door, and turn it on, and you get nothing, use the butt of the hand, and pound slightly on the door, just below the latch. Sometimes, the micro switches get old, will stay in an open position and not engage the timer, and gently pounding helps release the switch to close. But, habitual, these switches need to be replaced. These micro switches are there to prevent the dishwasher from continuing to run if the door was opened. Trust me, open the door when it's washing, and water will shoot everywhere! I had one stuck in the closed position, and opened the door, and guess what!
