Someone has one for sell and I'm trying to find out how old it is and the model number for the missing remote. Since the company doesn't list this model number on their website, I'm thinking it must be farily old.

5 I have the same model number you do and I find it quite annoying they deny ever having it produced as it's sitting right in front of me with their name on it... However, I have found a manual that matches my unit exactly. Check it out! PACR9S - http://homeappliance.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/windchaser_products_inc/pacr9s_1.html Hope this helps :P

0 She 'guessed' the A/C I was trying to get info on was 5 to 6 years old and she didn't know if it came with a remote. She had to ask someone how old the company was. Couldn't get a straight answer from the mouthy clerk at the company, so I'll try getting a tech this afternoon (if I'm lucky).

0 They don't like to answer their phone. Finally got a clerk with an attitude. Could hardly get a word in edge-wise. She insisted I had the wrong model number. I told her the plate on the back was VERY specific that the model was what I quoted. She insisted the company never used that model number, that it had to start with 'PAC'.

0 OMG- Those people have the most cavalier attitude! The man 'customer support' was about as bad as the clerk! (not our model#, it begins with 'pac', I don't know if we ever had one like that, I don't have that information right at hand). I finally asked him if there was anyone who could help me. 'Maybe tech support at ext. 118' (no- he couldn't transfer me).
