0 I have the manual. To drain the water through a hose you need the plastic tube about a foot long that sticks in the hole in the back. That diverts the water to come out through the tube. See http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/dehumidifiers/helpcenter/breakdowns/lg/lg-zd30.html
