5 There is a an auto-off setting within the box's on screen settings. You will have to have the converter box's remote on order to change that setting. The channel (instead of 3) can be changed within the box's settings as well. You can call the manufacturer and get a return authorization (RA Number) and claim the remote never came with the unit.
